In the spring of next year, between 17-19 March 2023, Brașov becomes the meeting point between visitors with old and new exhibitors, but also between manufacturers, suppliers of machines, equipment, raw materials, utensils and entrepreneurs of the bakery, confectionery and HoReCa industry. GastroPan exhibition brings together supply and demand, suppliers and customers in a setting that enables complex presentations of products, technologies and services for an interested specialist audience.
Next year, there will be three interesting days for the bakery, confectionery and HoReCa industries: for 14 years, GastroPan has become one of the most important meeting points in the world for the specified industries, being the only exhibition for the bakery and confectionery sectors in Romania. The GastroPan competitions will reward the best confectioners, bakers and students in the country and are grouped into 5 competitive sections - bakery-pastry, confectionery and the category intended for students, each having days dedicated to the section. Competitions have the role of imposing the Products of the Year on the market and at the same time supporting talents and businesses in the field. The level of competition will be even higher, after many of the competitors have graduated in the last year numerous training programs, after which they have accumulated new skills.

CONFECTIONERY SECTION | March 17, 2023
For the Confectionery section, confectioners from all over the country can register, who will have the opportunity to win the Cake of the Year 2023 trophy, contestants will be challenged to develop original, creative tastes and delicious. Confectioners and cake decorators will also have the opportunity to demonstrate their talent in the Artistic Creation category from sugar paste.
- Cake of the Year 2023 – theme: semi-prepared choux – scalded dough
A properly baked choux retains its puffy shape with an interior hollow, with a crispy exterior and quite dry, with a golden color on top all. When cut it should be somewhat hollow with a middle/core slightly moist inside.
- Artistic creation from sugar paste – theme: Wedding cakes – extravagance
A royal wedding is a real storybook. Everything is magic from the way the bride and groom dress to the way the space is decorated or the cake decorated. The piece de resistance of any wedding, the cake almost never disappoints, this is the visual treat and tasteful of the wedding guests.
